Established since 1780 on the Great Heath of Portlaoise, Treacy's is the oldest pub in Ireland in the same family name. One of Ireland's best known landmarks, the thatched premises is situated just off the main Dublin to Cork/Limerick road(M7).
Under the supervision of Tom & Marie Treacy, this family run premises is renowned for its quality of service and excellent value.
Although capable of catering for up to 200 persons, Treacy's retains its warmth and friendly, homely character, nowwhere more so than in the traditional and cosy front bar. With pencil stove, a pine counter set on top of the 16th century linenfold panels against the backdrop of a quaint set of drawers, Treacy's bar is known for its authentic atmosphere and unrivalled selection of bottled drinks, draughts and liquors.
